The Skagway Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) Auxillary #25 celebrated the results of their fundraiser through December.
The Eagles is an international non-profit organization and Aerie 25 supports local organizations and families with the proceeds of their fundraisers, which includes the Christmas pageant in December.
In 2023 the Skagway Aerie contributed $36,905 to different groups and individuals. Approximately $15,900 was granted to outside Ausillary locations and over $20,000 was given as hardship donations to Skagway locals in need. Another $1,000 went to the Nancy Shave Scholarsip.
Groups that benefited from the funds raised included The Trevor Project ($1,000), Skagway Pride Committee ($1,750), the GMP National Diabetes Charity ($1,050), the GMP and GWP National Charity Young and Old Autism and Meals on Wheels tournament sponsor ($100), the Skagway Childcare Council ($1,000), the Log Cabin Ski Society ($1,000) and the Eagles Fund to rebuild the kitchen ($10,000).
