The Skagway Public Library has entered the final round of its 2026 “Battle of the Books” program, and will crown a champion soon.
As of Monday, there were two finalists remaining – Ian McEwan’s “What We Know Now” and Eowyn Ivey’s “Black Woods, Blue Sky.”
The tournament champion will be decided by a community vote on Sunday, March 22.
To participate in the championship, Skagway residents should read the two books and cast the votes for a winner at the Skagway Public Library or send them an email with your choice.
A final meeting will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, to discus the two books … and allow residents a final chance to cast their ballots.
